Donating to local charities in lieu of wedding favours is not a new concept. Embarking on a massive social media campaign and launching a YouTube hit to raise $1.1m for a children’s charity, very new and very cool! And that’s exactly what Nora Argueta and Valentino (Val) Ramanand have decided to do just 6 weeks before their aptly scheduled 11.11.11 wedding.

Donating to local charities in lieu of wedding favours is not a new concept. Embarking on a massive social media campaign and launching a YouTube hit to raise $1.1m for a children’s charity, very new and very cool! And that’s exactly what Nora Argueta and Valentino (Val) Ramanand have decided to do just 6 weeks before their aptly scheduled 11.11.11 wedding.  
With the help of close friend and groomsmen Jeremy Bieber, a well recognized public figure, the couple has launched a heartfelt professionally crafted campaign promo video that has already received over 5,500 hits in less than a week after its launch on YouTube. The word on the commendable undertaking and the incredible video is spreading quickly and trending to be a social phenomenon. The idea was to see it go viral and to encourage participation via donation and things are going exactly as planned.

Just as important as the end goal is the way that the couple hopes to get there. The campaign’s target mission is to show young people everywhere that something as simple as a $1 or $2 donation can really make an incredible overall impact. Demonstrating the best possible use of the social media tool, readily available to most across the globe, Nora and Val hope to encourage others to follow in their footsteps and pay it forward whenever and however possible.

“What had me hooked from the get go, what had me wanting to work with Nora and Val, was not the incredible story of how they met or knowing how amazing their wedding day will be, but rather their dedication and passion to raise awareness and money for children in need. This whole event has very little to do with their wedding, that’s playing somewhat of a supporting role. This has everything to do with using your blessings and paying it forward, a message all should be impacted by.” says Kasia Juras-Azcurra, owner of Prelude to a Kiss.

That’s not to say that this wedding will be anything but incredible! Taking place at the historic Casa Loma, a team of top Toronto vendors is being pulled together to make this a night no one will forget. And given the cause and the team of people already involved, who knows what other surprises await guests and followers alike.

Real father not only to arguable the most famous teen in the world, Justin Bieber, but also to his two other children, Jazmyn 2 and Jaxon 1, Jeremy needed no convincing to get involved with the fundraising efforts his close friends decided to make a part of their wedding journey. Having been personally touched by the Make-A-Wish experience just last year after visiting a sick child in a LA hospital with Justin, a child who just days later died from her illness, Jeremy stands behind the cause wholeheartedly. With his public status ever growing, most recently becoming a spokesperson for HeadRush sporting apparel, Jeremy was ready and willing to lend his name, public status and time to help his friends reach their commendable $1.1m goal.
